Excelerate Consulting is an Australian-owned business passionate about the banking sector. From its inception, the company goal has been: improve the quality of decision making and knowledge levels within the banking sector.
Everyone likes to bash the banks, but they are a fundamental part of any economy. Only a handful of people understand how banks actually work (they are complex). This limits the quality of decision making throughout these large organisations.
Excelerate’s founders, Erik Protzman and Keerthi Prasad, wanted to help drive change in the industry and develop tailored and engaging training programs for all experience levels. They believe that helping people in this sector to make better quality decisions benefits everyone.
With over two decades of banking experience, the founders recognised there were gaps in current training methods. They have sat through many ‘death by PowerPoint’ style training sessions, with traditional group activities and role plays. Learning technical and complex banking concepts requires “learning by doing”. This ensures employees fully understand the content and can replicate behaviours back in their role.
Compared to traditional methods of learning, experiential learning or “learning by doing” has proven to have higher engagement levels and better retention rates. Underpinned by this, Excelerate Consulting developed customisable and immersive simulation-based programs. These programs develop banking acumen and promote sustainable decision making. Our team of experienced facilitators weave theory into the programs to achieve a memorable learning experience.
